Our Story
How God has faithfully led us through the years
Immanuel Prayer Church was founded in 2005 by a small group of devoted believers who gathered in a humble home in Chandanagar, Hyderabad. What began as weekly prayer meetings among neighbors soon blossomed into a vibrant congregation.
Our founders, led by Pastor Samuel Joseph, were united by a common vision: to create a welcoming space where people from all walks of life could encounter God's love and grow in their faith. The name "Immanuel" – meaning "God with us" – was chosen to reflect our core belief that God is present in every aspect of our lives.
Over the years, our church has grown from a handful of faithful members to a thriving community of over 500 believers. In 2012, we moved to our current location, a purpose-built sanctuary that serves as a spiritual home for our congregation.
Today, Immanuel Prayer Church continues to be a beacon of hope in Chandanagar, reaching out to the community through various ministries, outreach programs, and acts of service. We remain committed to our founding vision while embracing the future with faith and expectation.

Pastor Samuel has been leading Immanuel Prayer Church since its founding in 2005. With over 25 years of ministry experience, he is passionate about prayer, discipleship, and seeing lives transformed by God's power. He holds a Master's degree in Theology and is known for his powerful teaching and compassionate leadership.
Pastor Samuel Joseph
Pastor David joined our team in 2015 and oversees our youth and outreach ministries. His dynamic preaching style and heart for the younger generation has helped grow our youth ministry significantly. He is also involved in community outreach programs.
Pastor David Paul
Brother John leads our worship ministry with a passion for creating an atmosphere where people can encounter God's presence. A gifted musician and songwriter, he has been serving in worship ministry for over 15 years.
Brother John Matthew
Sister Grace, wife of Pastor Samuel, leads our thriving women's ministry. Her warm personality and deep biblical teaching have blessed countless women over the years. She is passionate about discipleship and prayer.
Sister Grace Samuel
Sister Ruth brings creativity and enthusiasm to our children's ministry. With a background in education, she has developed engaging curriculum that makes Bible learning fun and impactful for children of all ages.

Brother Thomas handles the administrative operations of the church with excellence. His organizational skills and servant heart keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
